Okay, since you guys dont read when you first log in, maybe you'll pay attention to the forums....i have said in the lobby, especially to you Fatal Waitin to turn off Automatic Updates so you guys wont have these problems....the reason I and many others can GET into the Regular DS lobby is because i turned off Auto Updates i cannot stress this enough....turn them off and you wont have these problems

Don't turn them off.

Just download beta - turning off automatic updates is NOT the answer (and is only considered a short-term fix if you do want to use the release lobby).

Again - We do not recommend turning them off. If you're going to do anything, just choose to ignore them on the Windows update site.

I agree totally, With jack. Don't Turn them off!

Updates are essential to your operating system's security and stability.
Yes some updates will result in crashes of release GCQL but with GameCQ as the current Recommended Method of playing DarkSpace. i don't see any reason to uninstall or even disable Windows Updates.

Just grab GameCQ (Beta) from Here.
(It may be classified as Beta but its fully functioning.)

I have my computer set to notify me of all updates before downloading so I can pick and choose whichever ones I want to install. This is how I found out about the latest one that is causing the crash. I wasn't sure which one of the 5 updates had caused it so I removed them all and then came here and told Admin about it who then found out which one was doing it. I think it's better to have your computer notify you first instead of having it do automatic download's so I believe I'll have to agree with Goth on this one.

True DMC, but for the most part you don't know what to Unselected from the list, because if you don't install the updates you will never know if it will cause a problem.
But please keep in mind those patches are made for a real reason, that GCQL won't work with it is a shame, but Staff can't really fix it.
If you keep on using GCQL, that is your choice.
It is all in your own preference.

And as official alternative we got GameCQ beta available for the people who don't have the option of choosing or uninstalling due to company/vendor/user policy.
