The Field Command of the ICC military does not share the same sort of optimism expressed by the politicians sitting in Exathra. Personally, I think we've been doing a good enough job blowing the K'luth out of the sky using good old fashioned weapons and our gut instinct, and saying we need a more advanced cannon instead of a bigger one seems like a lot of nonsense. Simple wins the day in my book.
That being said however, taking into account cost effectiveness, fair distribution of this technology, and guarantees that it won't open a black hole or any other spacial anomalies right outside my ships exhaust vent, I look forward to the demonstration and whatever fruit it might bear.
All ICC personnel are encouraged to attend, to respect the treaties governing the space, and to fully participate in the demonstration.
However, remain on your guard, as always. There are threats known and unknown. There is also the possibility that space will rip in two and you'll be swallowed in a vortex of pink elephants. Don't say I didn't warn you.
