21:15:59 [Admin]Mr Black: "And hopefully, after 2-3 weeks, the beacon thing wont be an issue...may well see .484 go live then..."
that was take out of a typing mistake that Mr. Black usually does, it provides us regulars a time frame for release.

Darkspace utilizes a development process that operates within a time vortex. No matter what progress is made or not made, the game is perpetually situated in time-space at precisely 14 days prior to its anticipated release.
The fact you're just finding this out leads me to believe you do not understand that all of us players are trapped in the same time-continuum loop. Us vets have been here so long, we can't even remember the last time incremental development was deployed, since we're trapped in the vortex, two weeks prior.
It is theoretically possible that there are people launching assault fighters, building sustainable and nearly unprocurable planets, experiencing mitigated prestige loss that encourages combat, and avoiding laborious upgrades that every one does since there is no economy, on Darkspace 2.01. But we need to create a subspace explosion near the anomaly or we will never break the loop.
It is our hope that one day we can continue with our existence, separate and strong from the Faustian Gravity Well that traps our energy.
To ensure I don't violate ROC compliancy--it is not love--I just want his babies.

Its neither Two Weeks™ nor fourteen days. We just hope to have the ship balance numbers in and the current outstanding bugs fixed within a couple weeks.
At that point, we'll try for some testing and balance checking (preferrably with a dozen or two people in beta) and see what needs to be changed. If things look good, release could be sooner rather than later. If bugs are discovered, balance needs to be tweaked, or ships need layout changes, things will be slower.
As always, we have no firm estimate on release - just an estimate on the few things that are our current priorities. And don't worry; if we have a need for testing or an estimate of a release date, this will be posted somewhere noticeable.

That's an estimated 2-3 weeks after the game assets are implemented.
