Alright, alright, before I get womped by people..
The MV has been far more lag filled and buggy then what it usualy is in the past few days, and it's causing alot of players to end up dieing to lag, and thus complaining about the game..
So, give the MV a little break for a few days by resetting it, taking away a large number of the nouns that the server has to process.. It should help for a little bit, atleast.

I agree, Lag is getting increasingly bigger.
An MV reset would be an amusing addition.

I disagree, when Captain Picard came across temperal distortions that caused his ship to exist in one timeframe but appear in another, did he throw his hands up and blame it on lag? NO. Did he get pissed off and ask Q to reset the universe? NO HE DIDNT.
Il tell you what he did, He cowboyed the hell up and made Jordie or Data find a way out of it. Perhaps instead of looking for the easy way out of problems you should learn to adapt to them, like Picard.

Agreed a reset of the mv would be a good idea in allowing for different maps. I suggest a 6 system map with 3 of them that home systems.

I think the idea here was to simply reset the MV in its current condition. A complete map remake is unlikely. They dont do that very often. However, having all the MV servers (I think there are 7-8 of them) dedicated to a mere handful of systems would be interesting. In theory, there would be more CPU power per region of space. I dont know if this would in fact be the case, though.
It has been a long while since the MV was blanked out though, so I am for that. As for a remake of the map, you risk it becoming so small that the battles are in the same 2-3 places everyday and the game becoming boring. I say leave the map editing for the release of 484.

I thought that was impossible with the safe zones.

It's either a choice between trying something to fix the lag, or let the lag go on and get a few people angry..
Tried to havae a 3 vs 3 fight agianst UGTO last night in Sol, and I was lagging so bad, I couldnt do any damage to anyone else, and they couldnt seem to hit me.. It's pointless to try and play with lag like that, and it's been like that for the past three days.
