As many of you know, the Development Log has indicated the removal of Planetary Collisions. I feel strongly that this is a drastic mistake, and ask anyone who feels like-minded to express so in the Beta forums in This Thread

It was indeed a bug, don't know why it was in the dev log but its fixed. YEY!

you could jump trough/over a planet.
verry funny efect if you just jumped over a gas giant.
suns stil hurt so better watch it.

Going over planets is not a bug...
The bug is the fact that you actually go into the planet first then up over it then back into it before coming out on the level plane again. The model size isnt being properly taken into account. ie, dreads should start climbing sooner than a scout would...
But by popular demand collisions are back in

I liked the idea but i have to say i alsow liked planet collisions.
If posable but i think that would require a lot of code.
if a ship is above a speed it crashes in a planet. but under a speed (Say 2,5 gu/s) it can move over a planet.
and yes it looked realy weard with the model sizes

removal (even if temporary) of planet collions in one of those things that can be useful for beta testing, but wont be a permanant change to release.
i predict we'll see a few more "bugs" like this.
