AI don't lag the game as much as everything things. They make the servers throw a bit of a wobbly in the zone that they're in, which is generaly why they're clumped next to planets that can't have any def bases, and just sit there doing nothing.

As far as lag issues are concerned, we've told you, and the rest of the community what is being done to adress it numerous times, and just because you're angry at the fact you died, doesn't mean that what we told you then is any less true.

Faustus has finished the new backend, but 1.484 is still a ways off. We have no date for its release, and it'll be done, when it's done.

As much as YOU don't like it, this is a pet project of Richards, and nothing you, or I say is going to change that. He doesn't have thousands of dollars to spend on professional coders, and even if we did have them, there are THREE PROJECTS they effectivly have to learn before they can even start working on the engine, and that's IF Richards lets them (excuse me whilst I support the fact that he doesn't just give the source code to the engine, GCQL, and DarkSpace to just anyone).

I understand that you're angry, but it's no excuse to just ignore everything that we've told you in the past. If you don't like DarkSpace being the kind of side project that it is for Richards, then that's tough luck for you. No-one can do anything about it, because, I don't see any professional C++ programmers queuing up on the forums to work on DarkSpace & Medusa for free.

It'll be done when it's done, so, Two Weeks™
