Ok this is kind of worthless to say cause I don’t know if it is possible to be done but, I was thinking since we have a issue with people bombing in the Metaverse why don’t we make a dedicated system that can be bombed. Make other systems off-limits to bombs that go for the structures, If set up right this may work. But once again I don’t know if this is possible but if it works it would help with one of the problems at current in DarkSpace.

Not possible. Would require massive work on the staff side of things, and not just on the management, and trying to stop people bombing in systems they're not supposed to (there's no way to do it via the game utilities).
Plus, if they did this, there would be no reason why they couldn't stop people using Torp MD's, or cannon-type ED/PD's. At the end of the day, it just because too much work, even with a sizable staff team.

Not possible without a lot of head crunching, and even then, I doubt it would do the server any good, running player checks every few seconds.

A wild idea occured to me.
Let's make a "Bombing offlimits day/Combat Day" and pick a day out of the week most of the community agrees they have free time on (like saturday, or such)
Basically, a day where nobody can spawn any ship with bombs. Or, if they do, they receive a Warning stating what day it is, and then after 30 seconds their ship explodes.
Of course, I think some command dreads have bombs.......hm
Either way, the script would be incredibly simple to make, and only needed to be done by time activation, or in the morning/afternoon
and it woudn't take that much overhead, since it only needs to check, say, ships spawning, or in orbit of a planet with a shipyard.
I dunno. Wild idea.

Here's my input.. I go into the mv for combat just about every time I log in. Problem is.. I rarely have any enemies, then someone bombs something and the ants come crawling out of the mound..

Is there a way of setting Bomb Damage to 0 for a Day without Updating?
Or a Way to make bombs unlaunchable?
Or With an Update.. Cus Itll just AutoUpdate that File right?

Sadly, no. The existing game CANNOT be edited outside of what we can do with scripting or the map editor.
Although some solutions may be possible in theory, they in practice will not work, or will damage the game more than they help. We also need to try and keep the integrity of the game world and lore, so this precludes the use of idea's which are too contrary to the entire ideal of a realistic permanent universe. We also have scenario servers which currently serve the same purposes where bombing is concerned.

Which are poorly executed. The time limit needs to be extended, maps need to be made where their is already pre-built infrastructure, and for some odd reason, a lot of maps have neutral k'luth jumpgates that .....obviously don't allow k'luth to spawn (or be selected in the side screen). And tahts just from playing for 20 minutes and not even looking at the long term playing.
