Ok. Just like EDs and PDs, I am now personally counting Planetary Siege Missiles as an exploit. Now, I am not saying it is any player's Fault. Its just an Obvious flaw in the game programming. For some reason UGTO planets dont shoot them down, even though ICC and Kluth planets do (THis I have seen with my own eyes). Not even our own ships shoot them down. I have to actually target, and manually fire each missile, because our Point Defense settings wont shoot them. This is not a matter of Sensors, as our planets have much Sensor bases, and we are detecting them over 1500 gu before they hit!
Now, enemy dreads can sit around 10,000 gu from the target planet (an extremely undetectable range) and fire just 2 planetary siege missiles, and the planet dies. Absolutely UNFAIR advantage. No other way to put it. I have no problem with people bombing, and can even tolerate some moderate mirving, but this is just..... unfair... sorry to repeat myself, but this is the very definition of 'unfair', and there is no other way to describe it.
At least MIRVers have the guts to do a bombing run.
I expect this Flaw to be substantially corrected in the next patch! Its bad enough that the ICC shields recharge at such a fast rate, and their planets are all but unbombable, but just one guy hiding in the void leveling whole systems with just one payload of ammo is unacceptable!

I was AT the Maurbon cluster a couple of hours ago, and I WATCHED each and every planet just SIT THERE, while they rolled up and took them out!

ECM doesn't work from 10,000gu or similar distance.
Was there an enemy ECM boat about, or ECM bases on the planets (if the latter is the case they needed flattened anyway)

No, there were no enemy ships around the cluster. I was watching very closely. I could detect the missiles all the way in.... ECM played no factor. I was in my Command Dread and even MY own ECM was turned off. I even built EXTRA sensor bases on the planets as they were being picked off. and this wasnt the first time this happened either, nor the same system. it works virtually everywhere against UGTO planets

Doesn't make any sense. PSM's are classed as a projectile, and as such can be shot down. There's no difference in UGTO's PD, it's the same as everyone elses.

Its not an exploit... UGTO pilots just can't shoot for spit... even with auto PD

there was a ECM boat i had dragonterro and co there all packing out ECM, we also had 2 MD's firing IT missiles and siegemissiles so really u cant count that if the UGTO doesnt fire because its having a busy time with other missiles. It is NOT an exploit

ok. maybe you werent listening before. I said there were NO ECM scouts anywhere near me or the missiles. I know what I am doing, and I would have seen them, or their ECM rings. there were NO other missiles or bombs accompanying the PSM. There were just TWO missiles.... they strolled up, the planet did NOTHING, and they hit. Planet gone. It happened on EVERY planet in that cluster.... period. try to explain that away... the only thing I can think of is that the server was lagging something fierce and maybe it didnt catch them in time, but this doesnt explain how I have seen this done in other systems before, over the past few weeks.
