MASS Cloud Bombing has been a thing of the past since 1.482, but Mini clouds are still possible.

but it still wipes out all things on a planet, sorry i should have said a bit more, i was enquiring why? a small number of mirv bombs could wipe out all structures on a planet even if those structures are no where near the bombs landing area. i think it's a bit of an exploit. but just what to know what the deifference is between mass i.e planet killing , and a few which does the same thing.

currently the bomb strength coupled with a problem with planet's damage threshold, bomb strike will generally wipe a planet clean. As mentioned this is being fixed with the next version

well if u think of it in comparison... mirv bombs are pretty large compared against the ship, then compaired against the planet, i mean 1 of those mirvs has to be like the size of new york, and well kluth clavate, 5 slots of 5 = 25 newyorks, i would say its well scaled

*beats Jester with a wooden spork*

Yeah, the powers that be decided that this exploit wasn't big enough to warrent a simple hotfix... *pokes my Demo Account status & ponders how things could have been different had that been fixed in the beginning*

picture this, if a asteroid the size of 1 mile is capable of killing off all the dinosaurs on the earth. And we run around carying a mirv that is 1/3 the size of a scout, which basing on porportion a scout ship is around 1/2 the size of australia... Thats going to mean that the bomb is wayyyyy bigger than 1 mile. So i you think about it, the bomb is kind of underpowered for its size.
