Ok i have read the FAQ and couldnt find the answer. is this game a PvP, PvE, or is it a mix. If it is a mix could you please give me what you think the precetiges are? Thanks

Best way to classify is a PvP MMORTS - but that hardly encompasses the game. Only way to really find out is to play. You can play for free as long as you'd like & don't mind using the basic ships. For signing up & validating your email you get a free 14 day coupon with which you can have rank & use bigger ships. Try it

thanks for the reply, i was thinking of trying it but i played eve for a couple of months and didnt like it, i played EnB for 2 years and loved it, i was a trader and crafter, i was kinda looking for something along the lines of EnB. But i will give DS a try this weekend when my wife is a way. i will be able to put my full attention to it. is there a good in game tutoril(sp?)?

Just a heads up, this MMO is much more combat based than economy based. Though a good engineer is always a valuable member of the team, the meat and potatoes of DS is the fleet combat.

I also played EnB when it was out and loved it as well, but DS is something slightly different, but in my opinion is far better. Just like in there, be extremely careful, only in here you need to do that like 2x over lol. So give it a shot mate =)

A lot of people here played EVE, myself included - I friggin hated it. Grind grind grind. At least, with DS there is a SLIGHT grind at the higher levels, it is offset by the fact that you're actually DOING something to earn the next rank - you're fighting ships, you're building planets, you're bombing planets... its actually FUN. Give it a shot, its free - a lot of very helpful people, waddaya got to lose?

At the moment it's 100% PvP, but they do have AI. It's disabled at the moment due to a cruddy server, when the GNU server is finished, most likely, we will see a lot of AI in the MV again (PvE).

ok another question, do they have weapona crafting? different components you can craft? also just an estimation would be fine, how many different weapons are there?

You really gotta try it out yourself bro - at least check out the Manual - it tells you everything you'll ever need to know about the game except how to actually fly & build.

Don't try to make ds fit into the mold of other mmo games. Round peg, square hole. Its almost totally unlike any other mmo you've ever played.
