Fighter Lag....Abilities for one mabe? |

Ok i know theres lag....and alot of lag...but i have a idea about fighters...instead of four popping out in once, out of each defense building.There could be one fighter...but with the added strength of the 4 or 3 combine together....but each lvl the building they gain another ability.
Example:
Defense building level one:
ICC Fighter:rail gun or misslie
Defense building level two:
rail gun and misslies
Defense building level three:
rail gun misslies and point defense system..
Each level of the fighter should become alittle more bulky and has more of chance to get hit by misslies and cannons.
Im not sure about ugto and kluth...so u guys work on that ;P

Don't forget carriers & mass missiles as well... I think that a good way to think of it is this - a ship's targeting computer can only manage like 1 or 2 missiles at a time per launcher, and only has a certain number of pilots - 5 pilots per bay, so that reloading only lets you launch another fighter when the one from that bay has been destroyerd (similar to the way bomb limits work I believe...)

Fighters = UGTO's specialised weapon.
You take them away, you effectivly nerf two of our ships, and about 5-10% of some of our other ships. Not to mention 5-10% of your CC, and making your Carrier Cruisers useless.
Fighters rock, they need to be fixed, not removed . Faustus's fix of decreasing the number of them works (although range, RoF and damage will need to be increased to compensate, otherwise they are just going to get PD'd when they get in close range).

If missles had even a marginally better hit rate, there's be no need to spam them.
I mean really, even if a ship is sitting still or moving slow, unless it's a station or a dread, 1-2 out of a salvo will hit. That's without PD zapping them.

sugested this before... only i sugested covets to deffend the planets with each lvl fighter base incressing the wepons on it... and to limate them one one per base and to have no more spawn untill the first ones were destroyed... didnt go over well...

Fighters are absolutely USELESS except fotr causeing LAG!! Don't you guys know that? Eveytime I build a planet, I build NO fighter bases. Only def bases. There is no lag around my planets with just planetary def missiles. They will get the job done in part of attacking enemy ships while the lasers take care of enemy bombs. NO NEED FOR FIGHTERS!! Get rid of them and you loose half the lag of battles!!!!!!
