Neither.

Both are Nvidia.

OMG MAJOR GEN OUTLAW I HAVENT SEEN YOU IN A WHILE WAT YOU BEEN DOING!?
lol, anyways id have to go with jack on this one and say neither because both are too expensive for what they provide
but if you had to make a decision i would go with the first one only because the graphics card is 256 mb, if you can get an athlon 64 3500+ but the lowest one is on that list is also fine because all three are above 3.0 ghz which i believe is good enough for any game (bf2, far cry, etc.)
If you can tell us your original specs for your computer you can prob upgrade it like me to make it at least twice as good as these two for half the price.
I myself am spending $800 on my upgrades listed here if anyone wants to make any comments:
Nvidia 6800 256mb Ultra Overclocked Pci-Express
1gb; 2x 512 mb sticks of corsair pc3200 ddr ram
Asus socket 939 Motherboard with 2x Pci-express slots
500 watt power supply (black box with blue neon lights inside; awesome imo)
Amd athlon 64 3500+

Im still in decision of video cards, nvidias cards are great and thier newest driver is awesome
I dont know if i should wait to get the new line of Ati cards if anyone could provide me with a price list or website of the new cards that would help
But getting on topic again you could probably find better computers for lower prices at different websites, http://www.newegg.com for example, it has lower shipping rates and fees.

Get a X850XT in one of those machines, and I'd buy the latter one.

Oh, and go for the second one. It has 1GB of ram, and thats pretty important nowerdays with all the texture loading, etc. Doom 3, Half Life 2, Battlefield 2 are all CPU and memory dependant, You have the CPU's, so if you HAVE to get one of them...

Go with #2

yeah i just read the thing over again and realized the first one had 512 mb of ram, but you could just upgrade that to 1gig for like $40
the 850 is a good choice, its probably the only ati card that would work great on battlefield 2, since bf2 is mainly a nvidia type of game
If you can spend any extra money after you get one of those computers, upgrade the video cards first because those two are quite old even if thier pci-e
however if your not really into spending much money, grab the first one and upgrade the ram first and then maybe the video card
(im really just looking at the graphics power for gaming for these two computers i dont care about all that other stuff like cases)
it would also help if you told us what kind of games your gonna be running because me and jack (i think) are just suggesting the requirements for ultra high quality graphics in games.
1gb of ram is a must for games these days

I dont see why the processor run so high, those prices are unvelieveable
It would be much cheaper (prob save $1000) if you just upgraded your current computer
those athlon processors are a ripoff, the athlon 64 3500+ im getting myself runs for only $239.99 where im getting it

Actualy, I get better fps on both my machines than my friends nvidia cards. It may be a "TWIMTBP" game, but, ATI cards run it better because of hardware directx 9.0 support. This machine is a 9800XT, I can run it full detail, with 110-130 fps. My other machine x850xt + crossfire card (like SLI), can run it in excess of 200 and sometimes 300 fps.
