Hi!

I've got a question about the latest credit changes.

Let me quote first of all two sentences of the latest DS-Mail:

"If the ship is destroyed or docked, the FULL value of the ship, including the costs of upgrades are returned back to the players credit balance."

"You can only reduce your credits in the following 3 ways:
3. Remove a ship from dock."

So when you dock a ship in a shipyard, then you get all your credits back. And when you delete the ship in the shipyard, it reduces you the amount of credits you have, although you got all of it back, when you docked inside?

Yup. This is necessary for two reasons.

One: Stripping ships. It is a preventative measure against people stripping ships and reselling the parts to a starport at no loss.

Two: It is a preventative measure against players spawning ships at a Shipyard to reduce the resources on a planet and thus unfairly manipulate the resource levels.

So, if we spawn the wrong ship, and want to delete it...we lose a bunch of credits?

This doesnt sound good to me...

i dont understand the reason behind switching to this new system when the just previous one was working fine...

what i think it was is a few people were complaining that they couldnt mod or upgrade anything cause they didnt have the money to do it with.

i myself tried to show a few of them how to do it by trading between planets...apparently it was a waste of time on my behalf.

oh well im getting sidetracked now

You shouldn't be gaining credits in this manner. Will have to look into it.

I don't play DS because i want to trade or sitting idle doing Mining.

1.) Reduced Costs:
Yay!

2.) Never Loosing $ cause of Lag issues (Planet ram, jd lagging, ship cant be cobtroled due to lag and gets shot down):

Big Yay!

3.) Not being able to Gatemod or using FA-Express (spawn a station, wh, dock and delete it, fly in Combat ship):

I can actualy Live with that.

4.) needing ~ 10 Mil just for "insurance":

i'll rate that one when the missions are back in.

1 and 2 kind of outweigh 3 and possibly 4 too.

Now were headed in the right direction imho.

So now instead of taking out a ship near combat you have to use the same 3-5 ships all the time, so now everyone gets to spend even less time in combat and far more in either trying to get somewhere or sitting around waiting...

And some wounder why so few play this game...

Not worth that much anymore, since you don't lose anything when you die.

I had 110,000 or so last night, I have no idea how I got them because I don't ever recall playing metaverse.

I checked my e-mail this morning, found one from darkspace with my coupon in my bulk folder, was gonna redeam it this afternoon, but my bulk folder cleans it self, right along with my coupon, I have no credits to spawn a ship, is it possible to get another coupon?
