I see after the latest patch, not only do you need to spend half the game building up and researching to build a shipyard now, but you also need to have enough resources on that planet. Then of course you have to fight with everyone else arguing over who gets to use them.

Sorry but while this may be fine in metaverse, anything less it's simply insulting.

I did not sign on to play "frigate-wars"

Someone tell me what's the point of being an admiral if the only ships you can ever use outside of metaverse are midshipman rank?

well, considering the admiral server isnt meant to exist...

you want admiral rank ships? well, you said, it metaverse. darkspace wasnt supposed to be Tribes with spaceships. sorry to let you down.

Going to have to agree with Lark on this one. This isn't Tribes: Online. And not all the players crave that sort of power.

It's listed in the "About" section that ALL classes of ships are requred for any single faction to excel. If everyone were in dreadnaughts and uber-destroyers, then the enjoyment for the newcomers goes right out the window.

So, with all due respect, don't knock what you haven't tried extensively.

id also like to point out that the hardcore MV players like me actually ENJOY admiral server, cause we finally dont have to deal with siphons decloaking 10gu away every 10 minutes -.- or that blasted battle station Nim keeps flying around =P well get you one day nim! =P

Yeeah... About 3 ICC ADs, an AC, a HC, and a sup were required to take down a battle station. Saw it happen last night, big explosion. Lots of debris. Too bad I couldn't collect any...

As for the Admiral server, you're right. All ships are required to make a fleet operate.

Nobody had a shipyard last admiral game I played, it was basically an argument over the only planet in the system with hypermatter on it.

yeah... I don't understand howcome it's so hard to balance this kind of thing... make the game so you can log in and sit down and play and have fun in a sitting. This isn't ment to be an MMORPG, we're not trying to level here or mine to our hearts content... We come to conquer the universe! Preferably part of it in a few sittings and have it be fun... tell me that not everyone likes raw power and I'll tell you why the hell you playing this game It's all about conquest, which is power and accomplishment, and which leads to also bigger more poewrful ships to do so. This game needs to be a little more friendly to the fun side.
