Hello all,
My 14 day trial coupon is coming close to expiring and I'm deciding whether or not I will subscribe.
Pros:
1) Great community - The overwhelming majority of players I've come across are helpful and friendly (even a lot of the opposing players, which is rare). And the admins I've come across have always been cool.
2) Great game - The MV is a star control, starfleet command, PvP slugfest all rolled into a persistant world. What's not to love?
Cons:
1) Not much action in the late hours - I live in the middle of the pacific 3 hours behind pacific standard. I'm very often alone in the MV late night and am looking for night life.
2) Very addicting - my wife won't be happy.
Apologies if this is widely known info. But I've read some references to missions here in the forums. And it sounds like some reason they were taken out of the game. Does anyone know why they were dropped and if/when they might be returning?

The one con you describe (the real one  )...we UK nutters usualy stay up till quite late if we can...I mean its almost 3 am here in the UK...so if theres nothing going on, atleast were in the lobby for a good ol' chin wag!

Oh...and gotta comment on the "Jack" part of your name...best name ever imho (being biased, ofcourse). JackSwift might agree with me also..

Yes, in the future missions should be returning. In the past they were a few simple things.
- Planet Defense
- Resupply
- Scout
- Combat
There could ahve been more, but these are the only ones I remember.
Also, I would recomend subscribing. One of the few things you won't get sick of too fast.

Red I'm in a close timezone to you, normally I'm on when you'd be on.
Likewise when I'm on a lot of the time there's no-one else. Sub then, so after beta is released and I start playing again (not playing much, taking a sorta break till beta), I might not be so bored
Or, don't sub. I'd consider con 2 a rather significant consideration

Despite the late night blues, being ead fodder, icc organization problems and invokation of spousal wrath... Darkspace is one kick butt game and deserves what little funding it asks for.
