Heh, well I was searching the net about 10 minutes ago, and came across this video. (You gotta unzip to view).
Now, if we could just a video, one little video, with up to date battle scenes/explosions out on the net, I'm sure we could draw even more players into this game. Yes, I know this has been brought up before, but I'll be damned if we don't keep trying at it  . And besides, do you want other gamers to think this game still isn't as developed as it is?

~Here are a few things I have found for anyone interested in helping out.
- Here is a recording program, I havn't been able to test it out, but it seems to be alright. If anyone has a computer that would be able to handel this running during some big action, it would be nice to see what can be done.
- Fraps - Only problem I can find is that there will be a 'watermark' added unless you pay $37 dollars (US dollars) to have the full version. Please leave anything that could be of help. It also will only take 30 second video unless registered.
- Quick! - Havn't reviewed this program yet. Feel free to post about it.
-Also, since both programs save files as .avi, which happens to be huge, here are some quick converter programs that on the net.

cheaper, and it does divx, cinepak, intel iyuv, microsoft video, intel indeo, and mpg4 v1 and v2 (assuming you have those codecs of course)

if you have windows XP, it comes with windows movie maker, which can compress those nasty huge frap .avi's

I lack the software to do any editing with it, but I can try some of this free screen capture software and try it out...my desktop is an athlon 2800+ with 1 GB of ram, so it should be up to the challenge of doing this.

I have Pinnacle Hollywood FX...I can do almost any editing splicing you need...

That's an okay video, bit short and the sound effects were iffy...if there's any help needed in editting I can do that, but I can't record...first off it would look bad and have no audio, as running fraps with audio lag's my computer to no end and I experiance constant graphics problems in DS, and second cause my hard-drive's almost full with fraps video taken of Planetside from back when I made a video there...*wanders off to try to change all that video to another format to save space*

Alright,
- I will have to do some running around to talk with all of you, but heres what I am getting so far.
- Yitram - Let's see what kind of videos we can get outa your comp. Making a sample vid with Fraps/Quick! and converting it would be cool. Send me a messege.
- $wiss - If you have done anythign in the past it would be nice to see/know how much experience you have in the area.
- Meko - Same as $wiss. Examples would be really welcomed.
- Also, I have been coming up with more things we will most likely need.
- Found server
- Maps that are very well lit. This probably means lots of suns (Like Nicea).
- Players willing to spend some time in a server to help out.
Please add anything you think hasn't been covered yet or you feel would help out.

I can help out. I don't have any sophisticated video editing software (Windows Movie Maker!), but I can help with screen capture and...well...be in it.
I have both Screen Capture programs so...yeah.

Alright heres a big update.
Our very own Meko has basically professional skills with movie editing and such, and is enrolled/is enrolling in many video classes and has agreed to help our attempt at advertisement along. Meko and myself have agreed that we will be scripting a session for the players who want to participate.
Another thing we have agreed on, is that we want the best quality video that can be offered. If you have not seen the trailers for EvE (yes I know I speak of the devil), thats the kind of quality we are shooting for. Here is an example... (file size about 15 mb)
So basically to sum it up...
- We will have a script written up most likely.
- We will be shooting for quality.
- We still need people who will be able to get this video onto gaming sites.
- We still need a server (I'm working on this at the moment.)
- We need players that will be free in about 2-3 weeks
We have not come to the conclusion as to what version we will shoot in, but I am pushing more towards Beta, personally speaking.
We may have to contact an Admin to let us use a server with minimal lag.

Well, I do school projects as well as my chaps snowboarding videos, they are decent, i'm sure i could rummage up a like somewhere....i do know what i am doing, so don't worry.
