This isnt an error report as I found none, otherwise this wouldnt be in this part of the forum. Checked out the BETA ships...for a moment I couldnt believe my eyes. The ships are finally getting proper firepower. Just one look at a cruiser (I forget what cruisr exactly) has as much firepower as a 1.482 station does. I'm not complaining. Even though Im a VA now, maybe being in a cruiser wont be so bad after all, now that the ship has the firepower to befit it. The fire exchange should make for some interesting battles, even 1 on 1 fights. Anyone else share this opinion?

To be honest I'm really afraid that the fights are going to lose the speed & tact that I love oh so much & turn into spacebar mashing fests. I haven't been in beta in a while though so I'm not sure if its the same way it was during the stress test for me.

Power managment is now key for bigger ships, so their damaging weapons have the tradeoff that their power usage is imence, so you will have to pay attention to what your doing. Also armour has been boosted a lot, so battles should be a lot longer than before, which is fun. Also ships are being fixed, so now your missile dread HAS to be a missile dread, any other mods are just stupid as it doesnt really support that role (mass torps etc).

The ships in 1483 have more guns, yes.
But shields and armor are much, much stronger as well.

dont worry about kluth
they just got some new options their own type of armor organic
options to replace cloake / auto repair
they can make fighter swarms now
tradoffs
cloake autorepair sucks power like your sisters virabator
else they gotten downgraded a lot
anyway gona be fun to try out

hmm.. But i think armour is most important now. Without em your hull jumps down. Planetary defence is very vital too.
