Hey, just got the game a few days ago. Seems like you guys got a small, but inviting community and in the first few days it has been alot of fun.
I read a lot of threads about people leaving DS, so I thought I'd make a thread about entering DS.
Right now I basically just fly around the newbie area in a destroyer, most of the time following someone else and trying to team up on an opponent.
Let's see, I've played a lot with Ants, he seems like a nice guy. I do have to comment that the first person I really took notice to was Rogue. When I tried the bigger map in my frigate(lol, lets just say when i decided to play the newbie planet exclusively i was at like a 3:80 kill:death ratio) i'd just try to follow a big ship around and try to attack his target. Unfortunetly there's a bunch of people who didn't want a frigate for help and would say bug off. Rogue however loved having me by him for the few hours I played with him. He'd cheer me on and go out of his way to try and keep me alive.
Best moment so far was when Rogue and another dread were pounding on an enemy dread and I was doing whatever damage I could just for fun and somehow got the killing blow. My first DS kill. LOL
Anyways, hope to see you in game.

Sounds like a good way to start your DS career... a Dread kill with a frigate

Dude I was there, and that battle was amazing  . Glad you where there with us, I dont think Rogue can be very active at the moment, but when he is, he always brings a shine to any battle. Your kill by the way, was utter class, watching that dread pound on you two, and then *poke* "Soandso has been destroyed by Pinkus!".
Come over to UGTO anytime in the MV and i'll try help you as much as possible .

It's truly good to see a "Hi I'm new to DS" thread instead of a "Bye I'm leaving DS" thread for a change, but if you look back over most of those you'll see that NOBODY EVER really leaves DS

Welcome to DS Pinkus. Glad to have you around. I don't get on much but hey, we need people like you around here, who WORK as a team. Just like the game was meant to be. I haven't quitted DS, just, kinda inactive right now. I am techincally a 1RA here but, due to the subscription running out, I'm all the way down to midshipman.
Actually, I plan on resubbing some time soon... if I don't get so much anime......
Again, welcome to DS! I'll be lucky to see you around when I am. (Which is a rare right now)
Hmm... I wonder where I put my Sol map on this computer... *searches all over computer for the map*

Well it is good to see a good thing like this. I do look forward to seeing you in the MV once I get off this floating grey ghetto called a US Navy Warship.
I am well versed in Supply and Construction. I was, at one time, in the top 10 builders in the game but have probably been dropped down a bit because I have been deployed for the last 6 months in Iraq.
Anyways look me up when I get back and I will be happy to help you get your badges.
