for fun today... i had nothing to do and i looked is DS links and i found a EVE thingy... i went on its website... man... thats a space game too... i tauth ds was the only 1....
Is it better????

I playe EvE for on a free trail and I didn't really like it. The whole game is about making money, not as much combat as DS.

I personaly like them equally. On one hand you have Darkspace, great players and a very fun game. On the other hand you've got Eve, great graphics, and.... well... cool stuff...

Tael.... much respect... but you don't have to mine to make money... you can mine to make money though, but there are other ways to make money there
EvE is a more complex game than DarkSpace... the differances are:
DarkSpace- you advance in the game just by playing the game
EvE- you advance by learning via skill books, or genetic implants
DarkSpace- combat is center stage and battles are a given between factions or races
EvE- combat isn't center stage.. players can engage in combat .. start wars.. factions are not against eachother as a whole.. more individually.. you can engage in combat with your own race
DarkSpace- conquer, control entire server with combat and take planets.. after which you start all over again
EvE- multi-role, you couldn't possibly take entire map, instead you make alliances, start wars and take some other alliance, and engage in some form of money making business..or never battle at all and just do business
DarkSpace- money serves only one purpose... to mod ships
EvE- money is needed for everything
combat in DarkSpace imho is easier than EvE.... EvE has a Z axis whereas DarkSpace does not... DarkSpace is "smash space bar repeatedly" EvE is "target, hit whatever F keys and it'll fire until it runs out of ammo or the target is destroyed"... DarkSpace is " keyed controlled steering and acceleration" EvE is "mouse controlled point click steering and acceleration"
if i forgot anything please add to it... honestly I don't see why ppl love to flame EvE here... imho these 2 games are only similiar in that they are space games
I don't think it's right to try and tell ppl not to try another game cuz you think it'll take them away from this game.... I really doubt you'd like ppl flaming DarkSpace in other game forums
I think you should try it.. decide if it's something you like and go from there

noob, use the 1,2,3,4,5 keys. DarkSpace is total control over everything you do, EvE isnt. They are two totaly different games in teh same catagory.
