I have just lost the 5th game in a row in the newbie area. And i'm wondering, if there r 8 other allies in the area(most r combat) then how r we loosing...srry...how did we loos the game? I figue it's because the kluth r a bit too strong and the ICC and UGTO r a bit weak. Now it's just my opinion, but maybe we should make the ICC and the UGTO a bit stroger...or at least, do something about the cloacks and wepons of the kluth.

K'luth destroyers have a huge advantage over ICC or UGTO destroyers. Thats why you are losing.

K'luth have kind of crappy dreads but their lower class ships are much more powerful then UGTO/ICC lower class ships


I have seen a K'luth dessy almost kill a UGTO/ICC dread I few times

Ya, they do kinda suck, but it's not the dreads that i worry about, it's the lower class ships that really make me mad. Like, u wouldthing that 8,9 combat ships against 2,3 thips...carriers and advanced carriers none the less,would win. But nope, we lost...5 planets. I dunno if the ICC AND UGTO have lazy people, or people who don' know what their doing...or maybe me thinks it's ime to lower the offensive capabilities of the kluth.

Lower the defence would make more sense.

The K'luth have been a balance problem for a long time...nothing new. Just wait for 1.483, then, hopefully, balance will be achieved.

Except that a Ganglia that can mount 2 reload bays only has 2 torpedo bays.

A Siphon can mount 8 Torpedos but has no reload bays.

Get it right!

You have a ship that has 2 reload bays and another ship with 8 torp bays...

Oh and your Siphon does have a reload bay...(AHR)...That is a VERY powerfull advantage.

must hav been long time since you hav been in a Siphon backy as it dosnt hav a reload bay ...
unless you are talking about the auto repair wich sucks big time as time only repairs real slowly and only good if you get out of the combat zone

lemme name a few I would take anyday over any of the kluth dreads...

K'luth dreads *DO* suck. Don't try to justify it. ALL except 2 weapons on the siphon are front mount.

nono measter_destroyer. this isnt about wich ships are more powerfull.. the reason you keep loosing the scenarios are because the enemy faction caps all the flag planets.

in the f2 screen, look at the planets that have a little flag in thier icon, cap those planets to win.


now onto the sidetracked discussion, the reason why backy said luth dreads are good is becuase when one decloaks beside you and alphas u, your severilly hurt.

the reason why others say luth dreads suck is not because of weapons, but of thier hull value. luth dreads can hit real good, but there sissies when they get hit.

Auto hull repair, repairs all your destroyed/damaged components at the same rate (or double I cant remember). That is a HUGE advantage over ANY human ship. It also repairs hull AND armour. How can you not say its a huge advantage.

Ok, lets take a scenario.

Human EAD gets all its torps destroyed, its got to spend 6 minutes repairing all of those torps (thats if every torp takes one minute to repair).

Now a Kluth ship can repair it ALL in a minute. Along with the fact its also repairing its hull AND armour at the same time.

I'd freaking love an AHR on my EAD anyday.
