Perhaps, but:

1. Vista sucks.
2. It currently has about as much market share as Mac OS.

There's a problem with your machine. I have Vista and it's running perfectly. Unfortunately, that errorlog doesn't show me anything, other than the fact that there are errors occurring within your OS that are causing Medusa (the DS engine) to fall over.

I have no knowledge of the interiors of this Medusa engine; but a 0x0000005 access_violation -type fatal exception is known to occur in Vista if you have VGA frame buffer enabled for your integrated card(=shared VRAM, ie. TurboCache, HyperMemory).

There is no specific cure for it other than to restore the VGA frame buffer amount either to 0 if the integrated chipset has independent memory, or minimum allowed(usually 32, 64 or 128).

There is no specific pattern to when it occurs either, other than usually with programs that utilize the frame buffer.

Adjusting of the frame buffer amount is done from the BIOS, usually by pressing F2 in the computer startup screen.

what graphics card specifically? Maybe theirs a bug in the way it handles Medusa, or your graphics drivers need updating.

I have a DX10 card, and there's nothing wrong with it running DarkSpace, as it only uses DX8.

I'll say this again - there's a problem with your system config (could be the drivers, or something else running whilst DS is trying to draw).

watch out, if jack says something three times, rocks start to hurl towards your house with surprising accuracy and speed.

Hmmm, interesting idea.

A rock-throwing catapult that targets by IP address location look up. If we don't get the user, we at least destroy thier internet access.

considering the distance needed to travel, you would need a pretty big catapult.

also, you woudn't need to be really accurate - you could probably take out a city block from the shockwave if you're throwing a rock across continents.

Whats wrong with big catapults and big explosions?
