Okay played the beta and here are my impression/bugs i found

1) the one thing that i noticed from the start is the ships speeds...

now i for on am all for it to slow em down but making a cruiser go from 25 to 8gu?

2) the mining beams seem to be broken.

3) Railguns fire FAST...... i like it

4) and this is the weirdest one... when i managed to get a SY working i used it and when i came back there were 2 Axi's in the game.... i could see MY ship on the starmap and the ship itself in space *so i saw 2 ships*
I couldnt target the one in space and when i targeted the one on the map both player icons started to blink as in selected.

Now this i tried 4 times and everytime another Axi was "born"
When i changed to a cruiser the Axi's dissappeared and all that was left was my green Axi *me* and 1 Yellow Axi

Also i noticed that my ship icon the one I was flying was getting brighter each time i used it.


sounds fishy


still i like the changes so far would love to see a bigger map like Eps Eri for testing so all sides have plenty of metals.

Oh and in case Beast forgets to post this.

he was a bug and while cloaked he was able to use the tractor beam on me.

Yea can use tractor and mining beams while cloaked however since neither pretty much does nothing I dont see a problem with it

Cloaked kluth pushing stations into planets...


Make it a none cloak weapon.

I see no prob with mining cloaked tho... if you have the energy anyway...

Oh definatly, any idle things like building or supplying or mining should be allowed to do when cloaked.

Extractor/mining beams are definitely broken. Tried my itty bitty ICC Extractor/mining ship and they didn't do squat. Tried them on both ICC held and neutral planets.

you mean fireing from cloak or not able to extract metals from planet?

as long as they're all slowed down proportionally

so do emp and partical cannons. id imagine gauss and psi do as well, havent been able to check that yet

they're still in rotation, just cap out. just ask if someone's in the middle of something or has plans for however much time is left on the clock first. /me looks pointedly at Thiresias--- fool didnt i say not to cap raf?!?

Ships (SHOULD) be losing about 5gu/s each, roughly from what i've heard.

Dreads 15
Cruisers 20
Destroyers 23 (they can go 28? I havnt played in years in one)
Scout 27


Those where the figures last time I asked what they where going to be.

scouts- down to 13
frigs- 11
engies are a whopping 8gu/s
and trannys blow them all out of the water with 21
kinda all over the board really
