1 and 2 are my favs, simple yet graphically/visually satisfying

Yeah, love the splash effect from shot 7, very, very nice !

Edit: are 2 and 8 the same?
Edit 2: and while we're in there, lets update the sound when torps are launched!

i just played Dark Reign for a bit and saw that some of the units shot some kind of beam that is actually build up with smaller beams that circle eachother(sort of like electric currents), wouldnt it be neat to have some of the beams like that?

#7 - The very best imo. Love the huge poof. I would really think that anti-matter explsions could have some effect like that, instead of the scout-sized one we have now. BTW, will the splash damage be upgraded also? That would be a major scout killer...

Torpedoes you did look much better then now.

If anihilation has a visible shockwave, Fusion and Proton Fusion explosions should create one as well. They are all nuclear reactions. Besides its unfair to give only luth an FPS lag cannon.

Now, if I may make a sugestion... I think torpedoes should have a very small core and about the same glow as seen roght now. Why? That much antimatter should be enough to detonate a star, not to mention a lousy cruser and anything else within half a light year

Okay, I cut down the glow a bit, and increased the effect of the trailing on them slightly. I'll take some screenies and post them.


For right now, I'm going to only leave the AM torp with the shock wave. I want to get some live feedback on that from the players before I go appy that to the proton and fusion torps.

really nice gid. i like those shockwave effects in 7. keep up the good work. i like the glow big makes the sci-fi part of the torp look real

They look like oversized Cannon Fire now.
Although the green explosion does look nice. Why is it green btw?
