tested in beta

best to test for yourself and take no ones word for it.

id also recommend flying a ship around stock for quite some time.. get to know it and its short commings.. look for ways you want to improve it according to your playstyle.

ICC has defense mode. The advantage of Def Upgrade is no doubt better than Def Power.

Def power is not useful in any situation, as it's actual regen in HP at 48% is the same as Def upgrade, but with less max HP. The best regen possible is half and half.

But 50/50 is only useful if an armor gadget is not being repaired. If it is, the bonus to natural regen rate is moot, because drones repair faster than natural ever could.


Now, if devs ever make regen based on HP and not %, then I could see def power becoming useful, to a still limited extent.

By that analysis, I believe we are looking for a merge: defense power upgrade which increase both HP and regen rate, higher cost. May be 1000 credit an advance (+4 max HP, + 3% regen) (copy the idea of beam condenser).

A merge of weapon cooler and condenser would be nice too, as we find out the true nature of cooler and consider it's not useful. An advance Weapon Condenser Cooler +4 condenser +3 cooller selling at same price as beam condenser is acceptable.

Put it in the nut shell, Palestar can raise the price of enhancement due to inflation, make it more useful by combining close-relative with a tiny mixed affect. Thus we have shorter list of selling item but truly charming to buy.
